I designed this ring so that, like its bearer, it would be the only one of its kind.

You will no doubt note that some of the sketches clearly implicate others in the design process. Their contributions are included to provide a complete visual history. With the sole exception of a hand-written note (0017) from the jeweler, the other contributions are representative of my attempts to communicate the design to someone able to mill a wax, and some of their draft work. After eight months, it became clear that those attempts would not be productive, so in March I decided to carve the wax myself, by hand. Those pictures are included in the following section.

The design was ultimately executed by Hilton Village Goldsmith using the wax I supplied. They did a great job.
